Baller ("we", "our", "us", or "the App") is an AI-powered basketball training application operated by Yaozhuo Sun, an individual developer based in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information you authorize them to share (such as email and name).
Profile Information: Basketball-related information you provide during onboarding, including skill level, position, training goals, and optional physical attributes such as height and weight.
Training Data: Data you generate during training sessions, including workout results, performance metrics, session feedback, and training preferences.
Voice Input (optional, Pro feature): When you use the voice assistant, audio recordings of your spoken commands are transmitted to our servers and then to third-party AI providers (see Section 3) to be transcribed into text. Audio is processed to fulfill your request and is not used to build voice profiles or to identify individual users. You can disable microphone access at any time in your device's system settings; the voice feature will stop working but the rest of the App will continue to function.
Device Information: Basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, and app version, used solely for troubleshooting and to diagnose crashes.
Information We Do Not Collect: We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, health data from HealthKit, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or any data for cross-app or cross-site tracking.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate personalized AI training plans and recommendations
- To track your training progress and produce performance reports
- To operate and improve the App's features and training content

3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each of these services has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review.
- Supabase — Authentication and database hosting.
- Apple Sign In / Google Sign In — Optional authentication providers used only if you choose them to sign in.
- OpenAI (GPT-4.1 models) — Used to generate training plans, drills, and performance insights. Prompts sent to this service may include your profile information, training history, and — when you use the voice feature — audio or transcripts of your voice input. Requests are routed through third-party API infrastructure providers. We do not permit these providers to use your data to train their own models.
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — Processes all subscription purchases and renewals. We do not receive or store your payment card information.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secured cloud servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and secure authentication tokens. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We may share data only:
- With the service providers listed in Section 3, strictly to operate the App
- When required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Baller, our users, or the public
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through the App
- Update or correct your profile information at any time
- Delete your account and all associated data from within the App (Profile → Delete Account)
- Request a copy of your data by contacting us at the email below
- Withdraw consent to optional processing (such as voice input) by disabling the relevant feature or permission
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (for example, GDPR in the European Economic Area, or CCPA in California). To exercise any such right, contact us at support@ballerai.app.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and training history will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records (such as transaction receipts) to comply with applicable law.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian before using the training features of the App, as described in our Terms of Service. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Users
The App is operated from the United States, and certain third-party providers listed in Section 3 may process your data in the United States or other jurisdictions. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those of your country.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after the updated policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.
